Wood is beautiful, warm, eye catching, and appeals to our sense of nature. With minimal care the utility pieces will perform for a lifetime to come.
Utility Bowl Finish: Your beautiful utility bowl is finished with an edible food oil base (sunflower or walnut oil) and essential oils of tea tree, eucalyptus, lavender, and grapefruit seed extract. Completely people safe.
Non Utility Bowl Finish: Your great new decorative bowl is finished with schellac or tung oil and wax.
Gift Finishes: All these are finished with a schellac type finish and should Not need to be re-oiled or touched up.
Kids Toys: All kids toys are finished with the same finish as utility bowls. A little one may put in their mouth and mum and dad can feel good about it.
All Wood: All the wood treasures are first treated with cedar oil. This is totally people safe. Non-toxic.
BOWL CARE FOR UTILITY STYLE BOWLS
- Wash bowl after each use. Its ok to use soap. Rinse and let dry.
- DO NOT SOAK BOWL! DO NOT PUT IN DISHWASHER!
- Wash with only warm OR cold. Do put bowl in very hot water then go to cold water. Or vise versa.
- Depending on how much you use the bowl it will need to be re-oiled. Whenever it looks or feels dry just apply your favorite food oil (exp. olive oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil, you get the idea) to the entire surface of the bowl and let it soak in for 10 to 20 minutes. Wipe off any excess. If you want it to have a shiny look the you may buff it with a cotton cloth.
BOWL CARE FOR NON UTILITY BOWLS
- Minimal care is needed for the decorative bowls. You may want to keep it out of direct sunlight.
- Avoid exposing to sudden changes of temperature or humidity.
